Here is your Kitsap County senior session what to expect guide. It starts with a planning conversation about your style and locations, moves through a relaxed, guided shoot with outfit changes, and ends with a reveal of your gallery. You walk in prepared and leave with photos that feel like you.
Most seniors show up to their session a little nervous, and that is completely normal. Usually within the first ten minutes the nerves are gone, because they realize they do not have to figure anything out. I do. From our first conversation to the day you see your finished photos, here is exactly what your Kitsap County senior session looks like, step by step, so you can relax and just enjoy being a senior.
Before we ever pick up a camera, we connect. Sometimes that is a quick phone call, sometimes a video call, and sometimes we meet in person. Whatever is easiest for you works for me. What matters is the conversation, because I want to know who you are: your interests, your school activities, your plans after graduation, the style you are drawn to, and the vision in your head for these photos. That conversation is what makes your session yours instead of a template, and it is where we start planning your looks and your location.

The Class of 2027 Kitsap Senior Photo Planner
The yearbook deadline tracker for every Kitsap area school, real golden hour dates for Bremerton, the booking timeline from now to graduation, and a style quiz for your senior. We will email it to you, plus an alert when your school publishes its real deadline this fall.

The short answer is earlier than you think. Senior portrait season in Kitsap County gets busy in late summer and fall, and the prettiest light and color books up first. If you have a season or a backdrop in mind, planning a few months ahead gives us the best shot at it. It also helps to read up on the best seasons for senior photos on the Kitsap Peninsula before we lock in a date, so your timing matches the look you want.
You can bring up to five outfits, and we mix it up on purpose: something casual, something dressy, maybe something formal, and at least one look that is pure personality. This is where you bring the things that say who you are. A letterman jacket, a sports jersey, your instrument, your cap and gown, college gear, or that one jacket you live in. Those details turn nice photos into your story. Not sure what to bring? Start with our senior outfit guide, and if you are a senior guy, our senior pictures for guys guide has looks and poses built for you.
We keep your session in one city or area, and within it we use up to five different backdrops so your gallery has real variety without anyone feeling rushed across town. We might move from a wooded trail to the waterfront to a city wall, all in one place. Picking the right spot matters, so it helps to browse our standout senior photo locations in Kitsap County and decide which backdrops feel like you.

Your session includes two hours of coverage, which is plenty of time to move through your looks without feeling hurried, and if you want more time it is available. We usually aim for the hour or so around golden hour, when the light is soft and flattering. Here is the part that puts everyone at ease: you do not need to know how to pose. I guide you the whole way with natural, confident, flattering direction, the same way I did for Zach’s session. If you tend to freeze up in front of a camera, here is how I help you relax and look confident. We capture a real mix too: close up portraits, full length shots, candid movement, seated and walking poses, and the little detail images that tell the story of your senior year.
A little prep goes a long way, and none of it is complicated. In the days before your session:
That is genuinely it. Show up prepared and confident, and I will guide the rest.
About two weeks after our shoot we meet for your reveal, and that is when you see your images for the first time. Your photos are professionally edited and retouched by my team beforehand, so everything is finished and ready. From there you select the image for the 11 by 16 print that comes with your session, and you get to see our collections along with our a la carte options for products, including albums, prints, and digitals. There is no pressure. We simply help you choose the ones worth printing and holding onto, because these are the photos you will look back on for decades, not files lost on a phone.
Is the consultation a Zoom call? It can be, but it does not have to be. We connect by phone, video call, or in person, whatever is easiest for you. The point is the conversation, not the format.
How long is a senior session? Two hours of coverage, with more available if you want it at an additional hourly rate.
How many outfits can I bring? Up to five, and I will help you plan a mix that feels like you.
Do I need to know how to pose? Not at all. Guiding you is my whole job.
How far in advance should I book? The earlier the better, especially for late summer and fall dates, which fill up first.
When do I see my photos? At your reveal session, about two weeks after the shoot.
Do I get the digital images? Your session includes one 11 by 16 print. Digital files and any extra prints or products are available to purchase at the reveal, with no minimum.
Is there a minimum I have to buy? No. You choose only what you love.
What should I wear? Bring a few looks. For ideas, our outfit guide helps, and shops like Lulus senior photo outfits are a great place to start.
