Silverdale Waterfront Park family photos shine because the boardwalk, marina, and open bay give you water, greenery, and soft evening light in one easy spot. It is flat, stroller friendly, and close to parking, so families relax fast and the images feel natural rather than posed.
Right in the heart of Old Town Silverdale sits a little waterfront gem that families love. Silverdale Waterfront Park is small but mighty, with saltwater beach access, a playground built around a pirate ship, a long pier, and Dyes Inlet stretching out behind it all. It is one of the easiest, most photogenic spots in central Kitsap for a relaxed family session. Here is how to plan one.

Silverdale Waterfront Park is a two acre park in the heart of Silverdale, Washington, on Dyes Inlet. It has ample parking, wheelchair accessible restrooms at the entrance, a gazebo, picnic shelters, and an accessible pier, so it is simple to visit with kids and gear.
For such a compact park, it gives us a lot. There is saltwater beach access where kids hunt for shells and splash in the shallows, a long pier for clean, leading line frames, a grassy lawn and gazebo, and the open water of Dyes Inlet as a backdrop. Everything is close together, which is perfect for young families who do not want to trek far between looks.
Golden hour over Dyes Inlet is gorgeous, so aim for the hour or two before sunset, and check the tide if you want beach time. Weekends get busy in Old Town, so a weekday evening is often calmer. Let the kids explore the pirate ship and the beach first, then we will use the pier and shoreline for portraits. Bring layers for the waterfront breeze.
